Join us for a morning of fun learning all about Birds!
Station 1: Paint Bird Eggs
Bring your creativity to Paint your own Bird Eggs… and learn all out bird eggs. Did you know the smallest egg is from a Bee Hummingbird and is the size of a coffee bean?!
Station 2: Build a Nest
Have you ever wondered what it’s like for birds to build their nest with a tiny little beak? You’ll have to give it a try at our nest building station!
Station 3: Make a Backyard Bird Feeder
Did you know Baltimore Orioles can eat 17 caterpillars a minute?! Learn about the crazy amazing things birds eat and build a bird feeder to take home for your backyard birds.
Station 4: Build a Nesting Material Box
Titmice and other birds will sometimes steal clumps of fur directly off sleeping dogs outside — it certainly makes a nice soft lining for nests! Help busy mom and dad birds this Spring by creating a nesting box full of natural materials to be used for bird nests in your backyard.
Pack up all of your crafts to bring home and enjoy a snack break before decorating your very own binoculars for the greenhouse bird hunt!
Station 5: Greenhouse Bird Hunt
Match the birds you find to their fun facts!

This event will be held outside in our Event Tent please dress for the weather. All supplies are included as well as a small snack. We ask that one parent or caregiver stay during the event, this is not a drop off event, Thank you! Events are non-refundable. In the case you cannot attend you are welcome to send a friend in your place. If sending a friend in your place, please email amurray@brooksidenursery.com with new attendees' information. Registration is required for each child this is not a sharing event.
